Matson Dezi is a multitalented and Seasoned Executive Director with more than twenty years of
experience working in Government and reputable International Organisations. He co-founded
Development Support Initiatives – DESI in 2018 with other community members sharing
same vision like his. Matson holds a Bachelors degree in Public Health and a Diploma in Clinical
Medicine. He is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his positive attitude and tireless
energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. . In the organization, he brought a
wealth of expertise with particular strengths in areas such as Health, Community and
Economic Development, Youth programs and women empowerment just to mention a few.
After spending more than two decades working in Clinical Setting then in Community
Projects, Matson knows what truly drives conversions in Malawian Setting. “It’s how well
you connect with the heart-beating people you’re trying to help and communicate your
understanding back to them then bring a solution relevant to their culture and belief”.
He feels Offering a life- changing service into the lives of millions of people is his calling”.
Before co-founding DESI, he also held board membership positions with several organizations
and institutions ranging from small scale start –ups to mid and large size.
Matson is inspired daily by his wife Grace and their three daughters. In his free time, Matson likes
to watch BBC News, football, reading magazines and play board games with his daughters."
He has written several articles in Malawi Newspapers and one of his articles was published
in British Medical Journal.
